Our History

From a book, to a movement, to a foundation.

The Book

SHEnomenal began as SHEnomenal Women, an anthology of 23 women who chose to rise through divorce, loss, illness, fear, and reinvention. It became a #1 bestseller, and its real success wasn't in the rankings. Readers began to recognize themselves in those pages, and started calling themselves SHEnomenal too.

The Movement

What started as storytelling grew into workshops, retreats, and gatherings built around healing, identity, and reclamation. Women found spaces where their strength was recognized and their vulnerability was supported.

The Foundation

The SHEnomenal Foundation was created to give that impact real structure. Our flagship initiative is a 12-month mentorship experience, rooted in our She Stabilizes, She Honors, She Expands framework, for women diagnosed with breast cancer and their caregivers.

From the Founder

She knows this road from both sides.

Tasha Champion, founder of The SHEnomenal Foundation, carries the BRCA gene mutation, inherited from her mother, who also faced breast cancer. That family history led to early detection, and to Tasha's own diagnosis and treatment for triple-negative breast cancer, on top of a life that had already asked a great deal of her: divorce, and single motherhood without the benefit of co-parenting.

She didn't just want to survive it. She wanted to heal, and she wanted other women to know they could heal too. SHEnomenal is what she built to be that for someone else: not just information, but a person who has actually been where you are, showing up beside you.

To give women facing breast cancer, and the people who love them, real relational support: mentorship, emotional wellness care, restorative experiences, and meaningful community, so no one has to navigate diagnosis alone.

A future where every woman facing breast cancer has steady, consistent support in a season that feels uncertain, where caregivers are included as a matter of course, and where connection restores what a diagnosis unsettles.

We tell the truth about where we are as an organization. We show up rather than just advise. And we treat every woman as a whole person living a whole life, not only as a diagnosis to manage.

Beyond Breast Cancer

A future that holds more than one kind of hard season.

Right now, SHEnomenal's program is built specifically for women facing breast cancer and their caregivers, and that focus comes first. Our mission also extends toward a future that includes women navigating other major life transitions, like divorce, single parenthood, and personal reinvention. That work hasn't begun yet, but the door is open, and healing, in whatever form it takes, deserves community.
